Mark qualified from Middlesex Hospital in 1978. He worked initially in Bangor and Orsett hospitals before joining his father at Petersfield Surgery. He worked for many years as a clinical assistant in Dermatology in several local hospitals. He worked as a Programme Director - organising the last three years of training for young GP's. Special interests include - General Medicine, Dermatology, Medical Education, Hypnotherapy, and Occupational Health.

Joined the practice on 2nd August 2023 for 12 months as a GP registrar, and we are pleased he is continuing his career with us at Petersfield Surgery.

DR SHAMAYAL MURTAZA

Dr Murtaza has joined our practice as an ST3 Registrar and will be training with us for one year, until August 2026. He will be working under supervision as part of his advanced specialist training programme.

DR RATHAVEN GUNARATNARAJAH

Dr Gunaratnarajah has joined our practice as an ST3 Registrar and will be training with us for four months, until December 2025. He will be undertaking this placement under the supervision of our clinical team as part of his specialist training programme.

DR RIZWANA AHMEND

Dr Ahmed has joined our practice as an ST1 Registrar and will be undertaking a six-month training placement with us until February 2026. During this period, he will be gaining experience under the supervision of our clinical team as part of his specialist training programme.

SAMANTHA SCHAAD

RGN - Senior Practice Nurse

RGN, Nurse Prescriber, Family Planning, Cytology, Travel, Baby Immunisations, Full Range of Nursing care. Sammy has been with the practice since 1988. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience. She is the clinical lead for prescribing, research and medicines management.

Practice Nurse and Midwife. Joined the practice April 2022. She is able to administrate injections, completes asthma and copd reviews. BP checks and diabetic checks.
